Living Our Values
We are of the strong belief that success is more than what the balance sheet shows. It’s not what we do, but how we do it, that defines our success. We are a values-driven organization and we have incorporated these values into every aspect of how we conduct our business.
To further pursue our long-standing commitment to being good corporate citizens, the company has committed resources to execute an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiative. As in every part of our business, our ESG initiative is being guided by our values, a thoughtful strategy, and authentic action. You can learn more about our ESG initiative here.
Being a good corporate citizen is systemic; it comes from top-down and bottom-up, and emanates from every segment, division and department in the company. Our efforts are ongoing, we never think we’ve arrived at an endpoint. We know we always have opportunity to improve.
Citizenship
Our social mission is to empower doers around the world to build a better future.
WD-40 Company’s citizenship program is a strategic expression of our social mission—grounded in our people-first culture, core values, and brand purpose. Guided by our commitment to building a better future, the program is anchored in three pillars: training, preparation, and restoration. Together, these pillars reinforce our purpose, support our 2030 strategy, and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in meaningful ways.
TRAINING
We Create Opportunities
We support technical education and hands-on training for trades professionals. Through partnerships and funding, we create opportunities and help close trades gap.
PREPARATION
We Make Things Run Smoothly
We help reduce the impact of disasters by supporting communities in preparing for and recovering from storms, floods, and other crises. Through partnerships, we provide tips, tools, donations, and education on disaster preparedness and recovery.
RESTORATION
We Solve Problems
By repairing products and extending their useful life, we reduce waste and unnecessary replacements. We partner with organizations focused on repair, reuse, and restoration to cut consumption and landfill waste.
Giving Back Through the WD-40 Company Memory Making Fund
For more than 40 years, WD-40 Company has supported communities by partnering with nonprofit organizations and programs. Our Memory Making Fund, managed by the employee-led Community Involvement Committee, reflects our social mission and commitment to meaningful impact.
We practice transformational philanthropy—a systemic, collaborative approach to grantmaking focused on long-term change.
Grant Opportunities
Our FY2026 grant cycle is now open. Beginning September 3, 2025, organizations whose missions align with our criteria will be invited to submit proposals for the Water-Related Disaster Preparation Grant under the WD-40 Company Memory Making Fund.
